FAQ - Your Longevity & Personalized Health

Why is it important to prevent lifestyle diseases?

Lifestyle diseases like type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease can seriously affect your quality of life. Preventing these diseases means you can live a longer, healthier, and happier life without needing lots of medication. Prevention is about taking control of your health before problems start.

I have several lifestyle diseases. Can I get rid of them by changing my lifestyle?

Yes, it is possible to improve and often reverse the symptoms of lifestyle diseases by changing your lifestyle. By using insights from your DNA, we can create a plan that helps you eat better, exercise, and practice mindfulness to improve your health and reduce your need for medication.

My parents had lifestyle diseases - will I get them too?

Just because your parents had lifestyle diseases doesn’t mean you will get them. You might have a genetic risk, but epigenetics—the way your lifestyle affects your genes—plays a big role. With the right lifestyle, you can lower your risk a lot and possibly avoid the same diseases your parents had.

Studies have shown that up to 70% of the risk of developing lifestyle diseases can be influenced by lifestyle choices, meaning that your health outcomes are not entirely dictated by genetics but significantly by how you live your life (Source: CDC, 2021).

I have a busy and demanding job - is the 10-month program suitable for me?

Absolutely! The 10-month program is designed to be flexible, taking into account the demands of a busy schedule. You can fit the activities into your daily routine, and our approach is based on creating habits that are sustainable, even for those with hectic jobs. The program focuses on making small, consistent changes that won’t overwhelm your schedule.

I can't find the motivation to change my lifestyle, and I'm tired of diet fads. Will this be different?

We understand that motivation can be challenging, especially after countless fad diets. This program isn’t about another restrictive diet. Instead, it’s about understanding your body and using personalized data to make small, impactful changes. Our approach is holistic, focusing on habits that you can sustain for a lifetime, and we’re here to support you through the ups and downs.

Do I need fitness equipment?

No, you don’t need any fancy gym equipment. You can do the exercises using just a mat and resistance bands. We aim to keep it simple and effective so you can achieve great results from the comfort of your home without investing in costly equipment.

Are there recipes included, and are they complicated with lots of unusual ingredients?

Yes, we provide recipes, and they’re designed to be simple, approachable, and easy to integrate into your lifestyle. We focus on wholesome ingredients that are readily available, avoiding overly complex recipes or rare ingredients. Our goal is to make healthy eating as easy and enjoyable as possible.

What does it take to change my lifestyle?

Changing your lifestyle takes commitment, being open-minded, and a willingness to learn. We will help you every step of the way, but your success depends on being ready to change old habits and build new, healthier ones. It’s about making small, consistent changes every day that add up to big results.

What can I expect to get out of the 10-month program?

During the 10-month program, you can expect significant changes in your overall health and well-being. The program will help you reset your body, establish healthy habits, and gain control over lifestyle factors that contribute to diseases. You will receive personalized dietary advice, exercise routines, mindfulness practices, and daily feedback from our AI system. These elements combined will help you feel more energetic, reduce symptoms of existing conditions, and improve both physical and mental health. What is expected of me when I join Your Longevity’s 10-month program?

We expect you to actively join the coaching sessions, follow the recommendations from your personalized DNA health plan, and communicate openly with us. Let us know if you have questions or if you’re feeling challenged—whether it’s due to a lack of motivation or a busy schedule. These are important moments that we want to address and incorporate into your plan, as we know they will come. You will receive high-level, AI-driven feedback—and have access to a health coach who will support you all the way.

Is my data protected under GDPR?

Yes, we take your privacy very seriously. All your personal information is handled according to GDPR rules. Your DNA data and health information are kept safe, and we never share your data without your consent.

What is the process to join the program?

First, we conduct a thorough lifestyle and health assessment to determine which DNA tests are best suited for you. After that, you take a simple finger-prick DNA test that helps us understand your genetic predispositions. Once we have this information, you get matched with a personalized health plan that includes diet, exercise, and mindfulness. You’ll receive daily high-level feedback through our AI system, have four online consultations with your coach throughout the program, benefit from updates as the program evolves to match your needs, and receive recommendations for dietary supplements based on your DNA tests.

Is it dangerous to take a DNA test or follow the program?

No, a DNA test is safe and easy—it’s just a small finger prick. Our programs are designed to help you reach a healthier lifestyle using safe and natural methods. Everything is based on science and expertise to make sure it’s both safe and effective.

I don’t want to get a lifestyle disease—what can I do?

The best thing you can do is take action now to prevent it. By understanding your unique genetics and changing your lifestyle to match, you can take control of your health and lower your risk of getting lifestyle diseases. Our programs give you the tools and knowledge to live healthy and keep up habits that support a long life.

Why should I have more than one DNA test, and why four in particular?

We recommend four different DNA tests at the same time, selected based on a thorough lifestyle and health assessment. Each test helps refine your health plan, ensuring it remains effective and tailored to your evolving needs. With multiple tests, we can provide a more precise and dynamic approach to improving your health over the course of the program.

What is the difference between DNA and epigenetics?

DNA is like a blueprint you are born with. It doesn’t change. Epigenetics, though, is how your environment and lifestyle affect the way your DNA works. By changing your lifestyle—like eating better, exercising, and managing stress—you can change how your genes are expressed, which can improve your health.

What is a lifestyle disease, and how does it develop?

A lifestyle disease is a health problem that is largely caused by the way we live. This includes things like poor diet, lack of exercise, stress, and smoking. These behaviors can lead to diseases such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and even certain types of cancer. By making healthier choices, you can help prevent these diseases from developing in the first place.

Do I need to retake the DNA test?

It’s not necessary to retake the DNA test, but you are welcome to if you would like updated insights. The initial test provides enough data to create your personalized health plan, but if you feel that your lifestyle has changed significantly or you simply want new information, retaking the test could be beneficial.

Should I repeat the DNA tests during the program?

It's not required to repeat the DNA tests, but you are welcome to if you would like more updated insights. Retaking the tests can help provide fresh information, especially if there have been significant changes in your lifestyle. We support ongoing learning about your body, and additional testing is always an option for deeper understanding and optimization.

What can I expect to get out of the 10-month program? Will life become boring?

You can expect the program to provide you with tools, knowledge, and support to lead a healthier and more balanced life. It’s not about restrictions; it’s about learning what works for your body and creating a lifestyle that supports your well-being. Your journey will include interesting and effective ways to improve your health—like personalized exercise, enjoyable recipes, and mindfulness practices. Our goal is to help you enjoy your life to the fullest, not make it boring.

Will the recommendations from the program apply for the rest of my life?

While some recommendations may need to adapt over time due to changes in your circumstances, the core principles will empower you to maintain a healthy lifestyle. You are also welcome to continue with a monthly subscription at €70/month for ongoing support.

When I finish the program, what happens next? Will it be a hassle to live this way?

After finishing the program, you will have gained the tools and knowledge to continue leading a healthy lifestyle. Maintaining these habits may require some effort, but they are meant to become second nature over time. It’s not about living with strict restrictions; it’s about enjoying a balanced life that supports your health. If you wish, you can also continue with our monthly subscription for further guidance and support.

Do I have to live with many restrictions?

I think I have a food intolerance—can the tests show that?

Our DNA tests can indicate if your body might not absorb certain substances well, like caffeine or lactose. They also provide guidance on optimal nutrient distribution—such as fats, carbohydrates, and proteins—based on your genetic profile. While they don’t directly diagnose intolerances, they help us recommend dietary adjustments to help you feel your best.

Do I need to follow the program forever?

The goal of the program is to help you develop sustainable habits that can last a lifetime. The recommendations you receive are meant to be adapted as part of your everyday lifestyle, making it easy to continue even after the program ends. You're also welcome to keep getting support through our monthly subscription
